Dr. Young serves as our medical director and has volunteered at Baby Health for over 30 years. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in pediatric residency at Riley Children's Hospital at the University of Indiana and community pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Young is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is the Jim and Suzanne Elliott & Family Professor of Pediatrics at the UK College of Medicine. Dr. Young leads the UK Pediatric Global Health Program as well. He is passionate about global medicine and frequently travels to Ecuador and India as a volunteer physician.
